Salaat is way underrated...
Today is a cold and blustery day...
A few days ago the ground was covered in light white snowy powder, and it was so fluffy and lovely! Last night it rained, so today's a different story.. :(
Anyways, it's on days like these that you realize how wonderful salaat is. Praying makes everything better, although I don't always complete all of them... (i'm in boarding school, give me a break).
Usually my prayers go fine, but i just have one question...
WHY DON'T MY DU'A HELP ME WITH MY MATHS TESTS???

Question...
"Don't wear nail polish. It's not allowed. Just...don't wear it. No buts."
-random muslim guy
For a teenager like me, it's confusing. Who should I believe? People who say that, as long as I pray and do wudu and everything, I can wear nail polish? Or people who say NO NAILPOLISH IT'S DEFINITELY CERTAINLY NOT ALLOWED
???
Help moi??
Shukran!

Second Inspiration!
Asalamu Alaykum everyone!
ughh I'm stressed to the max about midterms, and I'm only in high school! Seriously, my school is crazy about doing exemplary on everything! Anyways, now I'm going to get to the really amazing blogs that I adore!!
Okay, so here's the blog called "My amethyst" by shea! I actually love this blog maybe the most out of everything, although some come in as close ties. She's an amazing fashionista (on a dime) and makes the hijab actually seem like something people would get JEALOUS of not being able to wear! Honestly, her creations make me count down the days until I'm out of highschool and I can do my own thing, including wear a hijab!
Firstly, I adore the photo below. I only picked my faves from some of her most recent posts, but there's a gazillion more!
Sooo cute, you know?! Definitely go check out her blog, you'll fall in love! <3 here's the link: http://www.myamethyst-shea.com/

I also adore this next photo. It has the feel of the uber-cute outfit you'd see in some amazing store in NYC that you would feel jealous of...and it's still modest!

Asalamu alaykum!
Okay, so I realize that I'm reaaallly just pumping these entries out fast, but I have no time to waste!
Firstly: mid-terms starting on Saturday! Insha'allah i'll do fine, but wish me luck!
Secondly: When i first began browsing through hijab blogs, I found numerous ones that stuck out. This one, in particular, was pretty exemplary:
http://www.hijab-licious.blogspot.com/
This blog is PERFECT for someone who's looking for new hijab styles, influences from around the world, and good links to modest clothing places. I really loved the style when i saw the site at first; it's totally adorbs!

Asalamu alaykum!
Okay, so I have to admit that, since I don't wear hijab in everyday life, I definitely make it a point to follow the blogs of the coolest hijabis on blogspot!
I want to share their amazing fashion with all of you, so....
drumroll, please...
I'm going to make a Hijabi Idol series!!
I'll be doing this as much as possible (aka whenever I remember), and please let me know if there's anyone out there that you are interested in that you think might be my cup of tea!!

Asalamu Alaykum, everyone...
I am the not-so-infamous teenage blogger Aisha.
There's three things you should know about me:
1) I am muslim.
2) I am a revert
3) I'm only 15.
There, i said it. There's sooo much to learn about me, and this huge dialogue box is kind of daunting, but here goes nothing!
I am a 15 year old student in the USA, and I go to a prestigious boarding school. My life is not a normal teenage life: no time for TV, I live at school, and my school makes my life SUPER pressured 24/7.
My best friends aren't muslim...and the only muslims I'm close with live in Egypt and last saw me in person about 2.5 years ago, so it's hard to go through being a Muslimah alone. :(
I used to be a Christian, but I'm a Muslim now alhamdullilah. Lemme explain a few things to you all about this. No, I am not using Islam just to feel good about myself because I think I'm ugly. No, this is not a phase, and no I am not some weird outcast who things that Islam is her "calling" or something sketchy like that. In reality, I'm a popular white girl with blondish hair with lots of friends who has made this decision. I tried to push it to the side for years, actually since 6th grade, but it has lingered in my brain. That's when i decided that i should look into Islam, and at least learn about it. I won't go into detail unless people request it, but all I can say is that the road has been very VERY hard and there's still a lot that I need to go through, but I hope that I can help any other young people or teenagers out in the world that are trying to balance the modern American lifestyle with being a good Muslim.
Salamzzz everyone <3
